Das Zigeunermonument in Drachten ist eine steinerne Statue eines Wohnwagens, mit einem Riss in der Mitte. In diesem Riss sind die Namen von sieben Opfern eingraviert. Die Statue steht auf einem runden, steinernen Sockel. Das Denkmal ist 1,75 Meter hoch.
Aus der Entfernung scheint die Statue zwei Wohnwagen in einer Parade darzustellen. Aus der Nähe ist es jedoch nur ein Wohnwagen, der einen Riss aufweist. Dies symbolisiert den Riss, der im Leben der Zigeuner entstanden ist. Der runde Sockel stellt die Erdkugel dar, die symbolisch für reisende Völker aus der ganzen Welt steht.
