Schiebroek ist ein Stadtteil im Rotterdamer Stadtbezirk Hillegersberg-Schiebroek und eine ehemalige Gemeinde in der gleichnamigen Polder im Norden der Gemeinde Rotterdam, gelegen zwischen den Stadtteilen Hillegersberg und Overschie.
Im Mittelalter stellte der Kleiweg bereits eine Verbindung über Land zwischen den Flüssen Rotte und Schie dar. An diesem etwas höher gelegenen Weg auf einer Sandbank ließen sich die ersten Bewohner nieder. Das umliegende Gebiet wurde um das Jahr 1300 kultiviert. Das Gebiet Schiebroek wurde 1590 ein Handwerk, das zum Schultheißamt Schieland gehörte. Es war Moorland, das durch Setzungen im Laufe der Jahrhunderte immer tiefer sank und dadurch immer nasser wurde.
