Schiebroek es un barrio en el distrito de Hillegersberg-Schiebroek de Róterdam y un antiguo municipio en la misma comarca en el norte del municipio de Róterdam, situado entre los barrios de Hillegersberg y Overschie.
En la Edad Media, el Kleiweg ya formaba una conexión terrestre entre los ríos Rotte y Schie. En este camino, que se encuentra a una mayor altitud sobre una cresta de arena, se establecieron los primeros pobladores. La zona circundante fue cultivada alrededor del año 1300. La zona de Schiebroek se convirtió en 1590 en un oficio que pertenecía a la Bailía de Schieland. Era tierra de turba que, debido al hundimiento a lo largo de los siglos, se fue hundiendo cada vez más y, por lo tanto, se volvió cada vez más húmeda.
