Die Giessen ist ein Moorrivier in der niederländischen Region Alblasserwaard mit einer Länge von etwa 16 Kilometern, die ihren Ursprung in zwei kleineren Moorrivieren im Osten des Gebiets hat, der Noordeloos und der Kromme Giessen. Der Fluss fließt durch die Gemeinden Molenlanden und Hardinxveld-Giessendam. Er strömt in südwestlicher Richtung entlang der Orte Overslingeland, Pinkenveer, Giessenburg, Giessen-Oudekerk, Neder-Hardinxveld und Giessendam, um dann in Neder-Hardinxveld in die Merwede zu münden.
