Das Maerlant-Lyzeum ist eine öffentliche Schule für Gymnasium, Atheneum und Havo mit insgesamt über 1100 Schülern und 100 Mitarbeitern, die in Den Haag ansässig ist. Die Schule ist nach dem mittelalterlichen Schriftsteller Jacob van Maerlant benannt. Das Maerlant-Lyzeum wurde 1917 als das Zweite Städtische Gymnasium gegründet. Der erste Unterricht fand im Schulgebäude des Ersten Gymnasiums am Westeinde, Ecke Vleerstraße, statt. Im November 1917 zog die Schule an die Königinnenstraße 213, wo zuvor ein Pension für ältere Damen war. 1923 nutzte die Schule ein Gebäude in der Weissenbruchstraße.
