Il Maerlant Lyceum è una scuola pubblica per ginnasio, ateneo e havo con un totale di oltre 1100 studenti e 100 dipendenti, situata a L'Aia. La scuola è intitolata allo scrittore medievale Jacob van Maerlant. Il Maerlant Lyceum è stato fondato nel 1917 come il Secondo Ginnasio Comunale. Le prime lezioni si sono svolte nell'edificio scolastico del Primo Ginnasio all'Westeinde, angolo Vleerstraat. Nel novembre 1917 la scuola si è trasferita in Koninginnegracht 213, dove in precedenza si trovava un pensionato per signore anziane. Nel 1923 la scuola ha utilizzato un edificio in Weissenbruchstraat.
