Dieser Fluss beginnt als Bach in der Umgebung von Brecht und Wuustwezel, Belgien. Nach 36 km erreicht das Wasser in Breda (der Name soll von Brede-Aa stammen) die Gräben der Stadt und mündet schließlich in den Fluss De Mark. Der Name Weerijs stammt aus dem Französischen: ‘Wegreyse’. Die Ufer des Bächleins werden in den kommenden Jahren attraktiver für Radfahrer und Wanderer gestaltet. Auch das Wasser ist bei Kanufahrern beliebt.
