Westzaan ist ein Dorf und eine ehemalige Gemeinde in der Zaanstreek, die 1974 in die Gemeinde Zaanstad eingegliedert wurde, in der Provinz Nordholland.
Westzaan wurde 1811 selbstständig, zuvor war es das wichtigste Dorf der Banne Westzaan. Daran erinnert noch das im Auftrag der Banne unter dem Architekten Johan Samuel Creutz gebaute Rathaus im Stil von Ludwig XVI, dessen Bauzeit von 1781 bis 1783 dauerte. Zwischen 1816 und 1974 diente es als Rathaus. 2004 war es im Besitz einer Stiftung und ein Rijksmonument. Außerdem gibt es eine Kreuzkirche aus dem 18. Jahrhundert von Architekt Jan van der Streng. Die Kreuzkirche hatte ursprünglich einen Turm, der 1843 einstürzte. Der Turm wurde nie wieder aufgebaut.
