Der Bahnhof Purmerend ist ein Bahnhof im Zentrum der nordholländischen Stadt Purmerend. Der Bahnhof wurde gleichzeitig mit der Eröffnung der Eisenbahnlinie Zaandam – Hoorn im Jahr 1884 eröffnet. Das erste Bahnhofsgebäude, das 1883 erbaut wurde, wurde 1957 abgerissen. Alte und schwer instand zu haltende Gebäude wurden durch geschäftsmäßigere und kleinere, oft eingeschossige Gebäude ersetzt. So auch in Purmerend. Das Gebäude war einfach konstruiert, die drei wichtigsten Abteilungen, Platzkartenbüro, Wartebereich und Gepäckabteilung, waren miteinander verbunden, die Geschäftlichkeit ging vor.
