Die Vredenburg war eine Burg aus dem 16. Jahrhundert in der Stadt Utrecht. Überreste der Burg waren noch an dem Ort sichtbar, wo das Muziekcentrum Vredenburg stand. Seit der Fertigstellung von Nieuwe Hoog Catharijne befinden sich Überreste der Burg Vredenburg an folgenden Orten: in der Tiefgarage P5 unter dem Entreegebäude, in der Catharijnesingel unter dem Stadskamer von Hoog Catharijne und am Eingang des Fahrradabstellplatzes unter dem Gebäude Vredenburg. Der heutige Platz Vredenburg hat seinen Namen von der ehemaligen Burg.
