Der Zwaluwse Hafen ist ein Rest von einem Bächlein, das von der Senke Hooge Zwaluwe zur Amer verläuft. Das Wasser ist etwa vier Kilometer lang.
Der Zwaluwse Hafen entstand während der Sint-Elisabethsflut von 1421 und machte Teil eines Gebietes aus, das Ähnlichkeiten mit dem heutigen Biesbosch aufwies. So hatte Hooge Zwaluwe einen kleinen Hafen, der eine bescheidene Rolle im Güterverkehr und in der Fischerei spielte.
