Die Mühle wurde 1801 erbaut und war bis 1953 mit Windkraft in Betrieb. 1959 wurde sie von der Gemeinde gekauft. 1964-65 und zwischen 1986 und 1992 wurde die Mühle vollständig restauriert. 2001 wurde die Mühle ganz leicht versetzt, nachdem die Windfange an der alten Stelle beeinträchtigt worden war. Ein ehrenamtlicher Müller bringt die Mühle regelmäßig in Betrieb.
