Il mulino fu costruito nel 1801 e rimase in funzione a vento fino al 1953. Nel 1959 seguì l'acquisto da parte del comune. Nel 1964-'65 e tra il 1986 e il 1992 il mulino è stato completamente restaurato. Nel 2001 il mulino è stato spostato in un'altra posizione dopo che il cattura vento nel vecchio posto era stata messa in pericolo. Un mugnaio volontario mette regolarmente in funzione il mulino.
