Der kleine Hellingbos in Simpelveld ist ein parkähnlicher Laubwald, der seinen Namen alle Ehre macht. Es ist ordentlich anstrengend, aber man darf mindestens 14 Mal pausieren, um die Stationen des Kreuzwegs zu bewundern. Es gibt auch eine Lourdesgrotte und einen schönen Friedhof, wo die Schwestern des angrenzenden Klosters begraben sind.
