Steenwijkerwold ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Overijssel, gelegen 3 Kilometer nordwestlich von Steenwijk. Das Dorf gehört zur Gemeinde Steenwijkerland und hat etwa 1.910 Einwohner. Es liegt im 'Kop von Overijssel'. Früher wurde die Bezeichnung verwendet, um eine waldreiche Gegend rund um Steenwijk zu kennzeichnen. Die verschiedenen Weiler in dieser Gegend sollten später zur Gemeinde Steenwijkerwold gehören. Das heutige Dorf Steenwijkerwold besteht aus den zusammengewachsenen Weiler Gelderingen und Kerkbuurt sowie dem etwas weiter gelegenen Thij. Die selbstständige Gemeinde Steenwijkerwold wurde am 1. Januar 1973 mit der damaligen Gemeinde Steenwijk zusammengeschlossen.
