Nieuwerbrug an den Rhein ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Bodegraven-Reeuwijk in der niederländischen Provinz Südholland und hat etwa 1.790 Einwohner. Es liegt am Alten Rhein und an der Doppelten Wiericke. Die älteste Besiedlung der Gegend war wahrscheinlich in der Bronzezeit. Bei Weijpoort wurde eine Speerspitze aus der Bronzezeit gefunden. Da das Dorf an der Nordgrenze des Römischen Reiches lag, gab es in der römischen Zeit Soldaten.
