Hulst ist eine Festungsstadt in der niederländischen Provinz Zeeland. Die Stadt gehört zu den 6 größten Städten/Gemeinden von Zeeland, neben Middelburg, Vlissingen, Goes, Terneuzen und Zierikzee.
Hulst wird auch die Reynaertstadt genannt, da Hulst (Hulsterlo) im Epos von den Vos Reynaerde erwähnt wird. Du findest das Denkmal am Gentse Tor.
