Die Große Schüttinsel ist eine Flussinsel zwischen der Donau, der Kleinen Donau und der Waag auf der linken Flussseite des Hauptstromes im Südwesten der Slowakei.Auf einer Länge von 84 km und mit einer Breite von 15 bis 30 km bildet die Donau hier ein Geflecht von zahlreichen Mäandern und Seitenarmen, darunter auch die Kleine Donau. Zwischen den Flussarmen liegen ca. 500 Inseln und Inselchen.
