Chodoriw ist eine in der Westukraine liegende kleine Stadt etwa 52 Kilometer südöstlich der Oblasthauptstadt Lemberg am Flüsschen Luh gelegen.
Am 27. März 2016 wurde die Stadt zum Zentrum der neugegründeten Stadtgemeinde Chodoriw , zu dieser zählen auch noch die 41 Dörfer Beresyna , Borodtschyzi , Bortnyky , Borussiw , Borynytschi , Brynzi-Sahirni , Brynzi-Zerkowni , Bukowyna , Demydiw , Dewjatnyky , Dobriwljany , Drochowytschi , Duliby , Holdowytschi , Horodyschtsche , Horodyschtschenske , Hrusjatytschi , Jatwjahy , Juschkiwzi , Kalyniwka , Kamjane , Lischtschyny , Lutschany , Molodyntsche , Molotiw , Nowosilzi , Otynewytschi, Piddnistrjany , Pidlisky , Rudkiwzi , Sadky , Sahirotschko , Salisky , Schyrowa , Suhriw , Tscheremchiw , Tschornyj Ostriw , Tschyschytschi , Werbyzja , Wowtschatytschi und Wybraniwka , bis dahin bildete sie die gleichnamige Stadtratsgemeinde.
