Die Stadt liegt im Nordosten von Texas, 16 km südöstlich von Denton, ist im Norden rund 70 km von der Grenze zu Oklahoma entfernt und hat eine Gesamtfläche von 6,8 km², wovon 0,9 km² Wasserfläche ist.
Nach der Volkszählung im Jahr 2000 lebten hier 6.166 Menschen in 2.261 Haushalten und 1.666 Familien. Die Bevölkerungsdichte betrug 1.039,6 Einwohner pro km². Ethnisch betrachtet setzte sich die Bevölkerung zusammen aus 89,51 % weißer Bevölkerung, 3,32 % Afroamerikanern, 0,63 % amerikanischen Ureinwohnern, 0,94 % Asiaten, 0,02 % Bewohnern aus dem pazifischen Inselraum und 3,84 % aus anderen ethnischen Gruppen. Etwa 1,74 % waren gemischter Abstammung und 9,83 % der Bevölkerung waren spanischer oder lateinamerikanischer Abstammung.
