Ein schöner Spaziergang zum Gipfel des Guajara, des höchsten Gipfels (2717 m) der Caldera südlich von El Teide, der einen herrlichen Blick auf den Teide und seinen kleineren Nachbarn Pico Viejo sowie den Rand der Caldera und las Cañadas del Teide bietet. Der Aufstieg zum Gipfel ist recht einfach. Der Abstieg vom Gipfel folgt einem steileren Weg und ist etwas tückischer, bietet jedoch spektakulärere Ausblicke. Im Monat Juni sind die unteren Teile des Weges mit atemberaubend blühendem Rotem Taginaste (Echium wildpretii subsp. wildpretii), von denen einige mehr als 2 Meter hoch sind, bedeckt.
