The market town is located north of the Danube, on the prominent height of Wagram, and is particularly known for its wine growing. Fels am Wagram lies 40 kilometers west of Vienna and 15 kilometers east of Krems on the Danube at the northern edge of the Tulln Basin. The town is about 5 kilometers away from the Danube meadows and the mouth of the Kamp.
