The Steyregg railway bridge is a railway bridge of the Summerauer Bahn, which crosses the Danube between Linz and Steyregg. It is located a few meters next to the Steyregger Bridge, a road bridge along the Danube Road B3. To facilitate the traditional transport of salt from the Salzkammergut to Bohemia, the k.k. privileged Erste Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft began operations on the Linz–Budweis route with the new horse-drawn railway in 1832 and extended it to Gmunden between 1834 and 1836. For this purpose, tracks were laid over the wooden Danube bridge in Linz in 1835.
