A short 8-kilometer long stage travels past "Zwischentoren", a region of outstanding natural beauty between Fernpass and Ehrenberg Castle Ruins located above Reutte. Asphalt side roads and excellent forest trails across Klausenwald feature 140 meters of altitude gain.
Ride downstream for about 500 meters until you get to the road bridge over the Lech river. Cross the bridge eastward and follow the cycling trail to Rieden next to the road. After about 1 km, change to the paved access trail to Rieden via a short gravel climb. Having reached the village, turn right to Riedener See and follow the routes no. 822 (Rieden-Reutte) and no. 826 (Spirkenweg-Rotlech). Then follow route no. 822 (Rieden-Reutte) and the old signposts of the Tirol Vital Route.
