Did you know that when NASA tried to discover intelligent life on Earth in 1990 using the sensors of Galileo "visual clues weren't deemed distinctive enough to indicate intelligent life in Australia." It was an idea of the famous astronomer Carl Sagan to check if we would detect signs of intelligent life on Earth using the same tools NASA would use to detect life on other planets. A magnificent idea and a great scientific approach! On 8 Decembere 1990, Galileo approached Earth 960 km above the surface and they could only take pctures of Antarctica and Australia. Galileo's photographic resolution was just 1 kilometre per pixel. Although Australia's coastal agriculture offered a hint of something, but the conlsuion was that it wasn't distince to be indicative of intelligent life".
