Torrumbarry Weir is a very pretty location within a bushland setting and a full range of facilities for visitors. The ride out is pleasant with great views across the surrounding lagoons. The weir and lock were reconstructed in 1996 after flood damage, creating a dam with a capacity of approximately 35,000 megalitres. It delivers irrigation water to about 120,000 hectares of surrounding farmland as well as water for the Kerang wetlands and tourist and recreation facilities in Echuca.
