Anvil Rock follows a well graded unsealed road along a ridge top out to two fantastic lookouts of the rock itself, and Perrys Lookdown. This ride would be a fantastic introduction for the cyclist looking to take his or her trusty steed off road for the first time. No major hills and a well graded dirt road make for easy, fast pleasant cycling. Fantastic views of the Blue Mountains are on offer for most of the ride and on a clear day the city of Sydney is clearly visible in the distance. This ride can be combined with Hanging Rock (Ride 18) to create one ride taking in all three lookouts.
