Just 20 kilometres east of Perth is the Lesmurdie Falls National Park. For a national park it is quite small at only 56 hectares and the waterfalls are not really in the Niagra or Victoria Falls league, but when it?s wet they tumble 50 metres across the granite face of the Darling Scarp and even when they?re not flowing, the view of the city from up here is sensational. From a cycling point of view the ride is certainly worthwhile as there is some challenging climbing, hair raising descents and fabulous views.
