Lake George Lookout

Starting the ride from Canberra Exhibition Park, escape the city as you head north along Federal Highway. Within a few kilometres you will be enjoying the NSW countryside. This is a popular ride amongst Canberra?s cycling community, offering an opportunity to escape city congestion and enjoy quiet roads and wide shoulders along the Federal Highway. Thirteen kilometres into the journey turn off the Federal Highway and continue along the Old Federal Highway. With the exception of local traffic and other cyclists you will be alone with the local wildlife. Enjoy the fresh air and scenic landscapes, making the ride as challenging as you like through the rolling terrain before arriving at the Lake George lookout.
