At the start of the ride you have an iconic town in Beechworth and at the other end a small, atmospheric hamlet, linked by a picturesque winding road through high country forest. The area is popular with cyclists of all abilities. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail provides the centre piece for recreational cyclists, there is a mountain bike park in Beechworth and many dirt trails in the area and then there are the road rides, such as this one, which are most enjoyable.
