The origin of Isabellegreen, the color of the wooden facade, has quite a distasteful origin.
Isabella of Castile, the grandmother of Emperor Charles on her mother's side, also known as Isabella the Catholic, was married to Ferdinand of Aragon. Together with her husband, she was responsible for the Reconquista, the reconquest of Spain from the Moors. They were stuck in Granada. The siege of Granada began in 1491, and Isabella saw from kilometers away that it would not be an easy task. In the process, she thought that she might as well use some divine favors for this. So she began to pray to God the Father for assistance. Suddenly she realized that God might expect a return favor in exchange. Therefore, she decided to honor God by not changing her undergarment until Granada had fallen. After a year of siege, Granada was reclaimed in 1492. Isabella had kept her word. One year later, she took off her shirt, and then it had about the same color as the facade you are staring at.
