The Sint-Waldetrudis Church possesses many artistic treasures, a beautiful antique church furniture, and paintings by Ambrosius and Frans Francken, Moeyaert, De Vos, and Coxie. In its current form (fifteenth century), the Sint-Waldetrudis Church is a peculiar exponent of Brabantine Gothic architecture. The way in which the ribbed vaults of the nave and the choir are supported in this building is almost unique in the history of architecture. The tower is the only remnant of a church from the fourteenth century. The height of the spire from the masonry to the foot of the cross is 33 meters. A first major restoration of the church took place in 1878. The most thorough restoration of the church to date was carried out from 1974 to 1978. The church was protected as a monument on May 30, 1936.
