Mélin

Mélin, Saint-Rémy-Geest, Gobertange as well as Jodoigne, Lathuy, Tourinnes-la-Grosse... have a large number of Gobertange stone buildings. The village of Mélin is a small settlement nestled around its church, 5 km west of Jodoigne. From the center of the village, several paths lead out, where some remnants of rural habitat can be found, connecting to the various hamlets of Mélin, Sart-Mélin, Gobertange, and Maison du Bois. Mélin has this particular charm, this rustic setting, surrounded by a crown of small hills from which vast panoramas unfold. This admirable ridge line dotted with remarkable viewpoints defines the entire horizon of Mélin. Every two years, the non-profit organization Qualité Village Mélin organizes the "Open Gardens" weekend. On this occasion, owners open the doors of their gardens to visitors.
