Lichtervelde Station is a railway station in the municipality of Lichtervelde. The first train rolled into the station on February 28, 1847, at the initiative of mayor Michiel Surmont. The station is the hub in the middle of West Flanders of railway line 66 and railway line 73. The station was the first extension of railway line 66, which previously ran to Torhout station. Railway line 73 was only built later: the branch to Veurne in 1858 and to Tielt-Deinze in 1880. The station building is a so-called type 1895, with the number referring to the year of construction of the station. The building was protected in 2015.
