Private house Jan-Albert De Bondt (1929). He had traveled in the Netherlands and had opened his eyes. He had his own style, but was clearly influenced by the expressionist brick architecture of the Amsterdam School (Hendrik Berlage) and the romantic cubism of Willem Marinus Dudok. Typical of expressionist brick architecture is the use of brick in all kinds of decorative masonry bonds.
