Station Merode is an underground railway and metro station in the Brussels municipality of Etterbeek. The station is located beneath the square of the same name, directly east of the Cinquantenaire Park. The name "Merode" refers to the noble family of the same name (wikipedia, n.d.).
Metro lines 1 (Brussels-West/Stokkel) and 5 (Erasmus/Hermann-Debroux) serve the station.
Additionally, this stop is also part of the Regional Express Network (GEN). The S4 trains (Mechelen-Aalst) and S7 trains (Vilvoorde-Halle) stop here. However, the service remains limited to 1 train per hour in each direction.
