The Marselaermolenmolen is part of a set of watermills along the Molenbeek. Other mills, such as the ban mill of Diepensteyn (Steenhuffel), the Herbodinnemolen and the Quaedenmolen (Malderen), the mills in the Molenstraat and on the Drietorendomein (Londerzeel) have been (partially) dismantled or disappeared. Only the Koevoorde or Coevoetmolen has been largely preserved. A large part of the mill and the sluice system of the Marselaer mill have also disappeared. In addition to the mill part, the complex consists of a miller's house, a barn and several service buildings, in the core 18th century and modified in the 19th century.
