Due to the wealth of a hippodrome and an equestrian center, Waregem is known as the cradle of horse sports in our country.
The Gaverbeekhippodroom is 17 ha in size and is located a stone's throw from the city center.
Every weekend, from the beginning of May to September, trotting races are held here.
