The St. Theobald's Church in Bogaarden has a tower that is much older than the church itself and probably one of the oldest in the Pajottenland. According to heritage experts, the structure dates from the 11th or 12th century, the church itself was built later. And the church tower may also have functioned as a fortified lookout. The Romanesque tower is built of greenish rubble stone from the region, rising to the 11th century(?), but with a brick articulation raised at the beginning of the 19th century and crowned with a constricted needle.
