The Saint Peter and Paul Church is a church in the Belgian village of Doornzele. The parish is part of the deanery of Evergem and its origins date back to the 18th century.
The Cistercian nuns settled in Doornzele under the impetus of the Saint Bavos Abbey of Ghent, which existed from the Middle Ages until the French Revolution. Before Doornzele became a full parish, it was a chaplaincy of Evergem. This meant that Evergem sent a chaplain to Doornzele weekly to celebrate the Eucharist there. Since Doornzele was not yet a full parish and still belonged to the Saint Chrisoffel parish of Evergem, baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and funerals still had to take place in Evergem.
