The impressive neo-Romanesque St. Clement's Church was designed by the Limburg architect Herman Jaminé. It dates from 1874. It replaced the old medieval church, which had become too small and was somewhat in decline. The cemetery around the church disappeared for the construction of a square and was relocated to the Molenberg.
Notably, this brick church with stone bands and a choir closure in white sandstone has no tower. The flying buttresses on the outside are also remarkable. Be sure to look inside at the stained glass windows (Dideron, Paris), the furniture (Atelier Janssen), and the organ (designed by the Brussels organ builder Kerkhoff, 1888).
The church is only accessible during mass celebrations.
