The Liermolen is one of the four water mills on the Maalbeek in the Flemish municipality of Grimbergen. The buildings of this grain mill date partly from the 17th century and were remodeled in 1759 and 1762. The Liermolen is a former abbey mill and is constructed of whitewashed brick and sandstone. It was inhabited until the end of 1971 and was restored at the end of the 1970s. Since 1980, the milling department of the Museum of Older Techniques (MOT) has been housed here. The operational water mill has an intact interior and is kept running for milling demonstrations.
The Liermolen is named after the lords of Lire, who sold their water mill to the abbey in 1341.
