About the artist
This sculptor, ceramist, draughtsman and graphic artist studied at Sint-Lucas and the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and Antwerp. Christian Leroy has won many awards. Moreover, he also teaches himself. He is a member of Maka and Art Cru.

About the image
This two-metre-high metal sculpture depicts a young woman, with her arms raised, as a symbol of eternal spring. It was donated to Knokke by the State as a prize for "Green City 1969".
