At the height in the Einde Munkendoornstraat we turn right and stop at the farm "Goed te Tombroek". It is a closed farm with accompanying chapel. Voeger was the entrance to the farm a paved footpath.
On the Popp map of 1834 it is listed as the "Ferme Herbau", a walled closed farm.
The Herbau family produced 3 mayors:
August Herbau from 1866-1870 and his brother Leo Herbau from 1900 to 1918
Casimir Herbau from 1872 to 1899. The families were related: click here
Later the farm was inhabited by two more mayors: EugÞne Everaert from 1922 to 1937 and his brother Maurice Everaert from 1939 to 1947.
