The Sint-Thomas van Kantelberg chapel is a late Gothic hall church in the hamlet of Schoor near Balen, located on Schoor-Dorp 1.De oldest mention of a wooden chapel on this site dates from 1460. The chapel was destroyed during the turmoil leading up to the Eighty Years' War. In 1618 it was rebuilt in stone. When the Sint-Andrieskerk in Balen burned down in 1684, the building was used as an emergency church for a while. The gable roof of the church is covered with slates. A roof rider in baroque style was installed in 1692.
