The microclimate here is exceptionally good. There are the most sun hours in Limburg here. The trees come into leaf much earlier in spring. This piece of land is actually not really suitable for livestock farming or arable farming. It is far too steep. And the soil is too poor. Beneath a layer of loess that is one and a half meters thick, you encounter hard marl. You have to turn your disadvantage into an advantage; those grapevines thrive there very well.
