In the margins of Expo 58, a cowboy village had been recreated. On the grounds of Marly, in Neder-Over-Heembeek, there was a wooden village with saloon, sheriff's office with prisoners' cells, a hairdresser, ... During Expo 58, the 'The Far West Show' was set up for the visitors of the world exhibition. The village was then transplanted to Tremelo, where it still stands. Only the test of time has struck and only the saloon with a typical American veranda remains. A large part of the village and archive was lost during some fires.
