In 1982, the Keersmaekers brewery from Oud-Turnhout (now relocated to this place in Turnhout) launched high-fermentation beers under the name Corsendonk. This was done at the request of and with the support of the Oud-Turnhout tourist office. However, these beers are not brewed in Oud-Turnhout, but among others at the Brasserie Du Bocq in Purnode, a district of Yvoir.
