The Thuysbaert House was built in 1882-1883 on the orders of the Lokeren oil trader and brewer Hector Thuysbaert. It was later inhabited by two notaries, Thuysbaert, father and son, both of whom were also mayors. The City of Lokeren and the Lokeren City Museum organize temporary exhibitions in this belle époque building.
Open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 PM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM, only open during exhibitions. Admission is free.
