Lembeke is mainly known for the Lembeekse woods, which cover 50 hectares and mainly consist of planted coniferous trees. The heath remnants found in the herb layer indicate the former wasteland: a mixture of grassland, heath, scrub, and forest. Nowadays, deciduous trees are being planted again. The woods provide an ideal place for rest, sports, or play and are owned by the Flemish Water Supply Company.
